Make one full turn of the Ground-Balance (GB) knob clockwise.

Press the Threshold + or-button to set the desired level of the sound background.

By moving up and down above the ground, literally pump the search coil and metal detector above the ground. That is, you raise the search coil 15 cm from the ground, and then lower it to a distance of 2-3 cm from the earth at intervals of one to two seconds.

When “pumpinging” the search coil above the ground so slowly turn the above-mentioned GB knob counter-clockwise.

Note that the position of the GB knob affects the sound level, taking into account the direction of the reel movement.

If the sound gets louder when the reel approaches the ground, we call it a positive response.

If the sound gets louder when the reel rises above the ground, we call it a negative response.

Rotate the knob clockwise and counterclockwise in the process of pumping the reel, noting the position of the knob, where the sound changes with a negative response to the positive response.

Place the knob in a position where there is a weak positive response, i.e. the sound is slightly louder than the position when the coil moves to the ground.

Attention: It is not possible to perform balancing over metal objects.
